EMSS Team Members: Happy Friday, EMSS team, and welcome to the first EMSS Division Communication for the 25-26 academic year. We have driven quickly into one of our busiest times of the year, and I hope each one of you had some time this summer that allowed you to recharge and start this fall semester at least somewhat refreshed. Thanks for all the hard work that has gone into special activities over the past week, ranging from Move-in to Orientation and Welcome Week. As part of Cal Poly Humboldt’s Fall 2025 student orientation and in collaboration with Centro del Pueblo and Equity Arcata, which is a partnership between Cal Poly Humboldt and the City of Arcata, we invite you to join us on Saturday, August 23rd, for “Sanctuary in Solidarity Day.”

Equity Arcata is excited to welcome the campus and local community to an Open House event on Saturday, July 26, celebrating the organization’s new office at "The Annex" (925 E Street, behind the Arcata Transit Center, between 9th & 10th Streets). This event is designed to foster connection, uplift community voices, and engage residents in shaping a more equitable Arcata.  Open House: 4:00–6:00 p.m.
