Dear Colleagues, Equity Arcata invites Cal Poly Humboldt employees to support the upcoming Home Away From Home Potluck for Cal Poly Humboldt and College of the Redwoods students. Home Away From Home is an Equity Arcata initiative that brings community members, local businesses, and students together through shared meals and meaningful connections. Equity Arcata is a partnership between the City of Arcata, represented by the City Manager’s Office, and Cal Poly Humboldt, represented by the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (ODEI).

The Week Without Driving is an annual, national event to shed light on the challenges and experiences of non-drivers. At Cal Poly Humboldt, this event offers the opportunity for campus leaders, campus planners, faculty, staff and students - those who regularly drive - to learn firsthand about the barriers and challenges that nondrivers face and how they cope in a car-centric world, and to work with nondrivers to create a more accessible campus for all.
