- Hot Food Catering RequirementsDue to state fire marshal requirements, the use of sternos and open flame devices are no longer permitted on campus for indoor spaces. All caterers, including offsite caterers, cannot use sterno type products or open flame devices for heating hot food. For outside catered events, a State Fire Marshal permit is required for the use of sternos or open flame heating equipment. Our own campus catering, Humboldt Dining, has moved to alternate options for indoor heated catering. This includes heating packets as well as electric heaters.

- Panopto Spring CleaningIt has been very rewarding to see how Panopto, our lecture capture system and video editing platform, has been embraced by Cal Poly Humboldt. To continue this service, we need to reduce the hours stored on our system before we run out of space. Therefore, we would like to encourage all Panopto users to do a little Spring cleaning and delete those meeting recordings and other videos that are no longer needed.
