Many thanks to all campus members who stepped up to increase food services for our students during the recent government shutdown and delay of CalFresh benefits. Many donated money or time, and a number of you stepped in to help plan the needed support increases. As of Nov. 13, 21 students had been awarded emergency food grants totaling $10,458, with 3 pending; 219 students had received $18,466 in food swipes with an additional 70 underway; 119 meals were picked up on the first meal giveaway day; and between 10/28 and 11/13, OhSNAP! received 998 visits and spent $14,557 on food and basic needs for our students. For additional food resource information, visit https://www.humboldt.edu/basic-needs/food-resources
We will not have a division communication on Nov. 28 because of fall break, but our normal communication schedule will resume Dec. 1.
Take care of yourselves and each other,
