EMSS Team Members: Happy Friday, EMSS team. We are in the whirlwind phase of the year, when we each go from one thing to another, barely having the time to think or do much more than what we must get done each day. But is also a season of joy, one that reminds us why we do this work, as we see students we first met several years ago, those we have joined on their journey in some way, prepare for the next phase of their life. Amidst this hectic time, I want to share with you a few important updates from our division and the campus at large:

Dear Faculty and Staff, In response to Google imposing data storage limitations on our campus, Cal Poly Humboldt is implementing updated storage quotas for all faculty, staff, and student accounts.  After collaboration with a variety of campus groups and advisory committees, ITS will be implementing the following quotas on July 1, 2025.  The most notable aspect of this proposed quota system is that current faculty and staff will not be required to further reduce their Google storage usage.

This month inside Cal Poly Humboldt Professional Development Newsletter:  Shining a Light on Our Colleagues  As the semester winds down and the weather warms up, it's the perfect time to pause and celebrate the heart of our campus community—our staff, faculty, and students. Behind every successful initiative, seamless event, and meaningful student interaction, there's a dedicated team member (or several!) making it all happen.

Nexus @ Noon is where students, faculty, and staff converge to explore today's most pressing political issues. True to the meaning of "nexus"—a connection linking multiple points—this series will be a dynamic space for questioning, discussing, and researching political developments at local, state, federal, and global levels. With no set agenda, each session will be guided by the questions and interests of attendees, alongside insights from the Chair of the Department of Politics and special guests.
