“Tea and Talk” for Faculty and Staff, Thursday, June 5, 2025, 1-2 pm
Dear Faculty and Staff,
Take a break from your desk and connect with colleagues in a relaxed and welcoming space.
When: Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Social Justice, Equity, and Inclusion Center in the Vine Deloria Room (Balabanis House)
In partnership with Human Resources, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Academic Personnel Services (APS), and Staff Council, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) will host monthly listening circles for faculty and staff on the first Thursday of each month throughout the year. Tea, coffee, hot cocoa, and snacks will be provided.
The timing of this session, 1 to 2 p.m., is intentionally embedded within the workday to reflect institutional support for employee participation and well-being.
The session opens with a group welcome, introducing the circle’s purpose and shared agreements. Tea & Talk circles offer a regular space for faculty and staff to engage in open dialogue, deep listening, and mutual respect. Guided by the spirit of “tea” as a metaphor for open, honest, and respectful dialogue, these gatherings are not recorded, and no notes are taken, fostering a confidential and trusting environment.
Tea, coffee, hot cocoa, and pastries will be provided.
We look forward to sharing this space and the tea with you.
Best regards,
Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI)

After collaboration with a variety of campus groups and advisory committees, ITS will be implementing the following quotas on July 1, 2025. The most notable aspect of this proposed quota system is that current faculty and staff will not be required to further reduce their Google storage usage.
