This Spring, our Professional Development Day invites us to reimagine what sustainability means—on our campus, in our classrooms, and in our daily work. Together, we’ll explore how sustainable practices can enrich teaching, streamline operations, and strengthen community well-being.
From nature inspired design to cultivating sustainable mindsets in our students, this day will spotlight innovative ideas, share local successes, and inspire collective action toward a more resilient future.
Join colleagues for keynote sessions, collaborative workshops, and conversations that connect sustainability with every aspect of our professional mission.

Apply for assigned time funding for the fall 2026 and spring 2027 semesters, or summer salary for summer 2026. - Department Name Change to the Department of Mathematics and Data ScienceThe Department of Mathemetics has formally changed their name to the Department of Mathematics & Data Science. This name change is supported by the College of Natural Resources and Sciences and department faculty, and was approved by the University Senate on October 14, 2025.

- Funding Opportunities: Non-Federal Grant Round-UpAs the federal grant funding landscape undergoes changes, it’s more important than ever to stay proactive in seeking funding opportunities. Cal Poly Humboldt Sponsored Programs Foundation will be sharing a regular round-up of non-federal grants for those looking to diversify their funding sources. As a reminder, SPF offers funding search assistance!
