Call for Applications: Graduate Studies Faculty Fellow | Spring 2026
Academic Programs is pleased to invite applications for a one semester Graduate Studies Faculty Fellow position for Spring 2026. Faculty who are interested in enhancing graduate education and supporting and enriching the experience of graduate students at Cal Poly Humboldt are encouraged to apply.
Duties: The Faculty Fellow will be responsible for work on operationalizing core recommendations from the 2024-2030 Strategic Plan for Graduate Studies at Cal Poly Humboldt. The Strategic Plan is available on the Graduate Studies home page. In consultation with the Interim Dean of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies and the Graduate Council, the Fellow will plan, propose, and work on implementation of data-informed strategies to address recommendations related to graduate program recruitment, graduate student funding, and graduate student professional development opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications: This position is open to Cal Poly Humboldt faculty in any discipline who have demonstrated experience administering and/or teaching in graduate programs. Preference will be given to faculty who have served as a graduate coordinator or as graduate faculty in one of Cal Poly Humboldt’s thirteen graduate programs.
Application: Please submit a one-page letter of interest that includes a discussion of specific areas of interest related to graduate programs and a brief CV to OAAVP@humboldt.edu by Monday, October 20th. Applications will be reviewed by a committee of faculty, staff, and administrators.
Compensation: The incumbent will receive 6 WTUs of assigned time for the spring 2026 semester. Pending budget availability, there may be an opportunity to reapply for the 2026/27 academic year.
