February “Tea & Talk” for Faculty and Staff – What’s the Tea?: Change and Opportunities
Dear Faculty and Staff,
You're invited to the February session of "Tea & Talk," a monthly professional development space designed to connect, reflect, and build community. This initiative is brought to you by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI), in collaboration with Human Resources, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Academic Personnel Services (APS), and Staff Council.
When: Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Where: Social Justice, Equity, and Inclusion Center (SJEIC), Vine Deloria Room, Balabanis House
This month’s conversation, “Change and Opportunities,” focuses on how we can navigate change and recognize the everyday opportunities it brings in our work and learning environments. We’re facilitating from experience, not claiming to be the final authority, so we’ll bring strong structure, clear frameworks, and practical strategies while learning alongside you through shared reflection and dialogue. Join us as we explore ways to adapt to change, embrace possibility, and strengthen respectful, inclusive relationships rooted in resilience and growth. Whether you’re currently navigating a major transition or seeking new ways to engage with evolving workplace dynamics, this session offers space to reflect on your role and uncover new opportunities for professional and personal development.
These sessions are intentionally scheduled during the workday to affirm our institution’s commitment to employee learning and well-being. Each gathering offers a supportive space to:
Deepen inclusive leadership practices.
Strengthen collaboration across roles and disciplines.
Reflect on the real-world issues shaping our workplace.
Grounded in respect, confidentiality, and cultural humility, Tea & Talk fosters mutual learning through meaningful dialogue.
Coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and bagels will be provided.
We look forward to sharing “tea,” conversation, and community with you.
With respect,
Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI)
