NEW THIS YEAR: As a way to help more families and friends celebrate with their graduate, Cal Poly Humboldt will be holding a Spring 2023 Regional Commencement Ceremony in addition to the on-campus ceremonies listed above. The Regional Ceremony will be held on Monday, May 15 at The Miracle Theater in Inglewood, CA. Graduates may choose to attend any of the ceremonies—on-campus and/or the regional ceremony. All majors are welcome to participate.
Not only are we celebrating students in the Commencement ceremonies listed above, additional celebrations and receptions are being offered. As part of Commencement registration, students are asked to register to participate in their affiliated college receptions and/or any cultural celebration of their choosing. To see the full list of celebration and reception offerings, visit the Receptions & Celebrations on the Commencement website.
Student registration is currently open and closes on Wednesday, April 5. A registration link is posted on the Commencement website. Eligible grads received an email on Friday, March 3 providing them the registration link as well as important Commencement information including how to order regalia from Herff Jones. Regalia items will also be available at The Campus Store on the Arcata Plaza starting March 22 & 23 at the Grad Fair and up to the day of the event. If students have any Commencement related questions, please direct them to email grad@humboldt.edu. Let them know that the best source for up-to-date information on Commencement is on commencement.humboldt.edu.
Faculty and staff participating in the processional and who will be seated in the faculty/staff section during the ceremony are being asked to register their participation by Friday, April 14. The College Office Coordinators will be providing information and updates to registrants and will be coordinating the student and faculty/staff line-up. Those needing to order regalia can do so with Herff Jones. The deadline to order regalia to be received in time for the event is Friday, March 24.
Employees are needed to assist at the on-campus Commencement ceremonies. This includes administrators, faculty, staff, students (and even volunteers). Those who would like to work Spring Commencement are asked to make arrangements with their supervisor and submit their interest and availability by Friday, April 14. Information regarding shift assignments will be shared closer to the event.
Parking the week of Commencement will be impacted. A separate message regarding closures will be forthcoming.
