National Transfer Student Week is just around the corner, so save the date and get ready for a week of events created to support, celebrate and recognize our transfer student body. During the 3rd week of October every year, our campus participates in a National Transfer Student Week to celebrate transfer students and the professionals who support them on their educational journey! With a 9.5% increase in transfer enrollment this fall, your support means more than ever. Transfer students are adapting to new systems, campus routines, and fresh academic and social networks. This week is all about celebrating and supporting them!WHEN: October 20th - October 24thThis year our theme is Same Roots, New Growth; which represents how transfer students stay true to themselves while branching out to thrive and grow in a new environment. It’s about thriving in a new space while still staying grounded in who you are and where you’ve come from.Staff & Faculty are also invited to participate. We will have a workshop on how to support transfer students, that will include a student Q&A, presentation and DARs overview. You can also nominate one another to be our transfer champion! Nominate by October 15th. 

We encourage you all to help spread the word and support your transfer students this week. We even created a marketing kit that you can use to celebrate with us and showcase students in your departments.
