EV charging on campus
Beginning January 1, 2026, the university will implement a usage-based fee for all electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on campus.
As the number of EV drivers in our community continues to grow, this change will help us support increased demand, maintain and upgrade charging infrastructure, and ensure fair access for all users. The new fee structure will also encourage responsible charging habits and reduce instances of vehicles occupying charging spaces longer than necessary.
Key Details:
Fee Structure: $.60 per kWh. $5.00 per hour after 4 hours.
Where It Applies: All charging stations on university property.
Payment Method: ChargePoint
Enforcement: Vehicles occupying a charging space must adhere to all campus Parking Rules and Regulations. Electric Vehicle Charging | Cal Poly Humboldt
We appreciate your cooperation as we work to provide reliable and sustainable transportation resources for our campus.
