Funding Opportunity: Instructionally Related Activities (IRA) Budget Application for 2025-2026 Now Live!
The Instructionally Related Activities (IRA) Committee is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Every academic year, full-time students at Cal Poly Humboldt contribute $64 of the $674 fee to the Instructionally Related Activities (IRA) committee allocation. Each spring, the committee calls for and reviews applications for funds from the IRA Fee revenue. This process establishes the IRA budget for the next academic year. Prospective organizations, budget areas, or departments can submit applications via InfoReady, due February 16, 2025.
APPLY: Applicants will submit their application and find the solicitation through InfoReady, which can be accessed on Cal Poly Humboldt's Engagement Hub.

- Google Storage Temporary LimitsDear Campus Community, A reminder that, starting on January 6, we’ll be setting a temporary limit of 150 GB per person on Google Drive storage to help manage space while we work on a long-term plan. This proactive step will help us stay within Google’s storage limits moving forward. Don’t worry, if you are over the 150 GB limit now we’ll give you a bit of extra space, ~10%, to keep everything running smoothly during this transition.
- Heads-Up: Network Upgrades Are Coming Beginning January 21st!Hi Everyone, We’re excited to share that as part of the Chancellor’s Office Common Network Initiative, we’ll be upgrading the network equipment across campus. Starting January 21, our Telecommunications and Network Services team, along with Deloitte Consulting, will be replacing aging switches to make our network faster and more reliable. The work is expected to wrap up by February 14. Here’s what to expect: When:
- Parking for Fall 2024 CommencementCal Poly Humboldt is excited to host two Fall 2024 Commencement ceremonies for the graduating class on Friday, December 20 in Lumberjack Arena. As part of the Commencement ceremonies, the following parking areas will be closed:
- Depot Closure During Finals WeekDear Campus Community, The Depot will be closed during the last week of school, December 16–20, 2024, for some important upgrades and repair work, which will be completed by the start of the Spring semester. In addition to adding a Boba station, equipment will be updated in Cocina, Vege Craft, and Kinetic coffee, and the counter height at Kinetic Coffee will be adjusted for better accessibility. The J, College Creek Marketplace, and the Library Café will be open during this time. Thank you for your patience as we work on improvements.
