The CSU Benefits Open Enrollment Period is September 15 to October 10, 2025. The health and well-being of our employees is important, and we encourage you to take this time to ensure your benefits are aligned with your individual and family’s health needs.
Open Enrollment is your opportunity each year to review your current benefit plan selections to ensure they continue to meet your personal and family needs. The effective date for selections made during the Open Enrollment period will be January 1, 2026.

- DARS Outage Sept 9–12 & DARS Plans Downtime Through Oct 20On Tuesday, September 9 at 5:00 pm, DARS (including DARS Audits, Planner, and Exceptions) will be taken offline for scheduled maintenance. System access will return on Friday, September 12 at 5:00 pm. Although DARS Audits will be available by Friday evening, as part of this upgrade, DARS Plans will remain offline longer to prepare for new and enhanced functionality. The new and improved DARS Plans will be available as early as Monday, October 20.
- Upcoming Demand Response Test – Campus Participation RequestedDear Campus Community, As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, our campus will be participating in a Demand Response Test TODAY, Tuesday 8/26 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. What is a Demand Response Test? A demand response test is a planned event in which we temporarily reduce our electricity usage to help lessen demand on the power grid. These tests are important for ensuring grid reliability during times of high energy use and for supporting our institution’s sustainability goals.
- Annual Campus-Wide Space Audit Currently in ProgressCal Poly Humboldt Facilities Management (FM) is currently conducting the annual campus-wide Space Audit per recommendation from the CSU Chancellor's Office. Every room on campus will be reviewed by a FM staff member, with cataloging work continuing through Fall 2025. Please email space@humboldt.edu with questions. Thank you for helping us make our campus database and annual space use submission to the Chancellor's Office an accurate reflection of how we use space at Cal Poly Humboldt.
- Fall 2025 ITS Project Submission Cycle Launches SoonHave a technology project you want to move forward? Now is the time to prepare your proposal. The Fall 2025 ITS Project Submission window is open from Monday, September 8 through Friday, September 19. This process supports projects that: Advance recruitment, retention, or student success Align with polytechnic initiatives Are required by the Chancellor’s Office Are legally mandated
- Banners, Chalking, Posters, Staking and Tabling RequestsConference & Event Services has a new process for your Banner, Chalking, Poster, Staking, and Tabling requests. The policy has not been amended since the adoption of the CSU Time, Place, and Manner (TPM) Policy and Humboldt Addendum, but this process makes it easier for those attempting to follow the TPM to submit their requests, and for the University to ensure they are responsive to those requests.
- 2025-26 Field Trip Bus/Van ReservationFacilities Management is currently taking requests for van and bus reservations for the 25/26 Academic year. Please keep in mind that there are fewer bus drivers available this year compared to previous years, but you can increase the chances of booking a Van or Bus on your preferred day by getting your request in early. The bus/van request form can be found on the FM website here, along with the updated costs associated with this service.
