Upcoming Construction Activities – Health, Dining & Housing Project
As part of Cal Poly Humboldt’s continued efforts to transform our campus and support our growth as a polytechnic institution, we are beginning the next major phase of the Health, Dining & Housing Project, led by Sundt Construction.
Project Activities Beginning Soon
Starting June 23, preparatory abatement activities will commence at Warren House, Building 20, and Campus Apartments. These efforts will be conducted in full compliance with applicable health and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of our campus community.
Initial site activity will also include selective vegetation management and preparation of the construction zone. Trees that are removed as part of this process will be thoughtfully harvested, milled, and repurposed for use on campus in future projects and installations. Later in the summer and into the fall, demolition work will extend to include the Ceramic and Sculpture buildings.
Community Coordination and Safety
We have coordinated with the users of adjacent buildings to minimize disruption and ensure a safe working environment throughout the process. The project team is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and site security as activity increases in the area.
We recognize that construction activities may cause temporary impacts, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we move forward with this exciting project. Additional updates will be shared as the project progresses.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Facilities Management at 707-826-3646. Please see the attached map for more details on the fence line of the construction area.
Thank you for your continued support.
