Work Order Prioritization due 4/8/24: Facilities Management is reminding you to please work with your college/department to provide important feedback telling FM details about your open work order prioritization.
New requests for Facilities Management services submitted between May 3rd and June 30th, 2024 will be put on hold until after the new fiscal year. If there are circumstances requiring work be completed before June 30, 2024, please make that clear in the request title and/or contact our Customer Service Center at 707-826-4475 directly for further discussion. All of these “on-hold” work requests will be tagged with “FY24/25” in the work order title, and scheduled to begin sometime after summer 2024, as resources allow. Note: Facilities maintenance and project based work for Summer 2024 has already been scheduled. We appreciate your patience and understanding as Facilities Management catches up on the currently scheduled work and critical deferred maintenance on our campus.
All billable work performed in fiscal year 2023-24 will be billed out on or before the June 10, 2024 end-of-year billing request deadline. If facilities jobs are only partially complete, all costs accrued to date will be included in this billing, and the remainder of the work will be completed/billed in the future fiscal year. If you have time-sensitive billable work orders that must be billed out before the end of the current fiscal year, please contact the Facilities Management Customer Service Center at 707-826-4475 directly for further discussion. - G14 & G15 Parking Lot Closure May 21On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Pacific Gas and Electric Company is scheduled to conduct underground utility work in parking lots G14 and G15. This work will require complete closure of both parking lots from dawn to dusk. Please plan to park in an alternate location during this time. - Annual Fire Alarm Testing Schedule May 20-24Facilities Management has scheduled the following buildings for fire alarm testing May 20-May 24. Due to the large volume of fire alarms to be tested, some scheduling changes may occur. A schedule is provided below. Additional scheduling for remaining buildings to be tested June 3 - June 7 will follow.
- Part of Rossow Street to be Closed 5/15-5/16The contractor working at the Swetman Building will be conducting operations within the Rossow Street roadway on Wednesday (05/15/2024) and Thursday (05/16/2024). During this time both lanes of Rossow Street will be temporarily closed, from the intersection at Harpst Street to the parking area entrance south of the Swetman building. See attachment (approximate road closure area delineated in yellow).

- 2024 Annual Fire Alarm TestingFacilities Management has scheduled the annual required testing of the Building Fire Alarm Systems within all campus and housing buildings for May 20 -24 & June 3 - 7, 2024 from 6:00 am - 5:00 pm. During the testing of the fire alarms, technicians will be activating smoke detectors and pull stations throughout the building. At the end of the testing, there will be a final audible test of the bells and strobes. The bells will sound for approximately 15-30 minutes, depending on building size.
