This Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26 Cal Poly Humboldt is proud to host the 39th Annual CSU Student Research Competition, a celebration of the remarkable scholarly and creative accomplishments of our students. This dynamic event offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to present their research to the campus community and a panel of judges.

Please be aware that campus parking will be affected during the competition. We encourage the use of alternative transportation or carpooling when possible. In addition, there is a large concrete pour for the Engineering & Technology building happening Friday night and most of the day on Saturday. There will be concrete trucks coming in and out of B, 17th, and Union Streets which could impact traffic.

We expect to welcome more than 300 presenters, faculty mentors, family members, and guests throughout the day. Every interaction our visitors have with the Cal Poly Humboldt community helps shape their impression of our campus. If you encounter a student researcher or guest who needs assistance, please offer a warm welcome and help however you can. Let’s all be proud ambassadors of Humboldt!

You can view the full agenda and learn more about the exceptional projects being presented by visiting the CSU Student Research Competition website.

A sincere thank you goes out to the faculty mentors, staff, and volunteers who have supported our student presenters, coordinated logistics, served as jurors, and promoted the event. Your dedication to student research and academic excellence makes this event possible and impactful.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs at CSUstudentresearchcomp2025@humboldt.edu.

Thank you for supporting our student scholars and for helping highlight the thriving research community at Cal Poly Humboldt!
