Join the Sustainability Employee Educators Team for AY 25-26
Greetings Cal Poly Humboldt staff and faculty,
We’re excited to invite you to be part of the FOURTH annual SEEDS program (Sustainability Employee Educators Developing Solutions). This is a unique opportunity open to all current staff and faculty who want to help shape a more sustainable campus community.
SEEDS empowers employees to become campus leaders in sustainability, while engaging with concepts such as waste, energy, transportation, purchasing, water, environmental justice, and more. You’ll gain tools to take action, connect with colleagues across departments, and help advance Cal Poly Humboldt’s sustainability goals. The program also helps our campus earn points in alignment with STARS criteria for EN 3 Staff Engagement & Training. Participants should commit to data gathering about sustainability practices at the department level and completing one sustainability education project that will benefit the larger campus community.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
A weekly Thursday meeting (10:00–11:30 AM) starting September 18, 2025
Hands-on projects and interactive in-person sessions
A $500 stipend, a SEEDS t-shirt, and catered food at select gatherings
The chance to be part of a growing network of change-makers on campus
Our first session kicks off Thursday, September 18 at 10:00 AM in SBS 405. To join, simply fill out this form and show up for the first session!
