New Improvements to the IRB Submission Process!
The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs is thrilled to share that we’ve developed a brand new, user-friendly platform for Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions! This new platform represents a significant upgrade from our previous Drupal system, offering enhanced functionality that promises to streamline the submission process for applicants, reviewers, and our dedicated IRB coordinator. With features designed to improve efficiency and user experience, we believe it will greatly enhance the human subjects research approval process at our institution.
The platform was developed in collaboration with InfoReady, the trusted platform provider that has supported our internal funding opportunities for over a decade. One of the key advantages of our partnership with InfoReady is their commitment to continuous improvement. InfoReady's reputation for exceptional customer service has been evident throughout our collaboration, as they have worked closely with us to tailor the system to meet our unique needs. You can access the new IRB submission platform on our Engagement Hub.
We understand that transitions like this can sometimes be challenging, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our faculty, staff, and students. However, we are optimistic that the benefits of this new platform will far outweigh any temporary disruptions. We are excited to introduce you to this powerful new tool and hope that you will find it as valuable and user-friendly as we do.
The IRB is currently offering in-person appointments available on Wednesdays & Fridays between 9:00am-2:00pm. You can request an appointment by emailing irb@humboldt.edu. The IRB also maintains open Zoom Drop-In Hours every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday between 2:00-4:00pm where you can participate in live training sessions using the new system. Additional training resources will soon be available online as well on the IRB website.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to invest in tools and technologies that support and enhance research at our institution. We look forward to sharing more updates and improvements with you in the future!
