Cal Poly Humboldt’s Oh SNAP! Student Food Programs is joining forces with Food For People, Humboldt County’s regional food bank, to collect non-perishable food donations for their Holiday Food Drive. This effort directly supports students experiencing food insecurity. All food donated on campus will go directly to the Oh SNAP! Food Pantry, ensuring that students have access to fresh, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food during the semester and throughout finals.

Ready to build confidence in the online classroom? Introduction to Online Teaching & Learning is a three-week, fully asynchronous experience designed for educators of all backgrounds—no prior online teaching required. You’ll explore essential practices grounded in Backward Design and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) while applying what you learn directly in your own Canvas course (and if you don’t have one yet, we’ll create one for you!).

This coming Monday, December 15, relax and unwind at the 3rd End of Semester Kickback, hosted by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in collaboration with the Dean of Students' Office, the Umoja Center for Pan-African Student Excellence, and Equity Arcata. The application deadline is coming up in January for the Incentives Program, which provides time, compensation, and support for developing a full proposal for external funding. Apply for assigned time funding for the fall 2026 and spring 2027 semesters, or summer salary for summer 2026.  Note: if you need assistance finding funding, keep in mind that our office is closed between December 24th and January 1st. The Department of Mathemetics has formally changed their name to the Department of Mathematics & Data Science. This name change is supported by the College of Natural Resources and Sciences and department faculty, and was approved by the University Senate on October 14, 2025.
