The Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) exemplifies the mission of the California State University system by working for California and its citizens through partnerships across the agricultural industry and beyond. Through the colleges of agriculture on four CSU campuses and allied disciplines across the CSU, the ARI conducts applied research to ensure the sustainability of California agriculture.
About: The Agricultural Research Institute’s NextGen Student Fellowship Program is currently recruiting for its Summer and Fall 2024 cohort. Fellows will work with faculty and professional mentors while conducting research in agriculture or natural resources. Fellowship amounts range from $11,000 for undergraduates and $25,000 for graduate students.
ARI will be hosting a series of informational webinars to provide an overview of the program and its opportunities. Information on dates and times can be found here.
To qualify, applicants must:
have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
be enrolled as a full-time student.
plan to pursue a food, agriculture, natural resource, or human science (FANH) career, or plan to attend graduate school in a FANH-related discipline.
have a faculty mentor.
be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident.
