Steve Kinder Joins Development Team
A big welcome to Steve Kinder, who has taken on a new role in Development as the Associate Director of Development, Athletics.
Steve started in his new role on Monday, and is focused for now on helping with the Athletics Auction. His new office is in NHW 208.
Please take some time to visit with him and welcome him to the team.
Steve’s position is a new one within Development, and one of numerous new Director of Development roles we hope to fill by the end of the year. Individuals in these positions will work directly with major gift prospects, which will be vital as we develop HSU’s first comprehensive campaign.
It has been a longstanding goal at HSU to create a position that prioritizes major gifts in Athletics. Steve will be helping us create a new program, and we will work in close consultation with the new Athletic Director on priorities and strategies. This is an opportunity for Advancement and Athletics to develop a better connections and closer coordination.
As you probably know, Steve has extensive experience in Athletics at HSU. Most recently, he coached the men’s basketball for 10 years, guiding the team to three NCAA Tournament appearances and three California Collegiate Athletic Association titles.
