The application deadline is coming up in January for the Incentives Program, which provides time, compensation, and support for developing a full proposal for external funding. Apply for assigned time funding for the fall 2026 and spring 2027 semesters, or summer salary for summer 2026.  Note: if you need assistance finding funding, keep in mind that our office is closed between December 24th and January 1st. The Academic Policy Committee invites you to give input during our first listening session on the draft revision to the Procedure for Discontinuance of an Academic Program. The purpose of this session is to gather feedback from the campus community on our draft procedure as we work toward a transparent process that embraces shared governance. Your input at this stage will help us refine the document before bringing it forward to the Senate.

The Department of Mathemetics has formally changed their name to the Department of Mathematics & Data Science. This name change is supported by the College of Natural Resources and Sciences and department faculty, and was approved by the University Senate on October 14, 2025.
