The Center for Teaching & Learning invites innovative educators to join the CTL Faculty Scholar Program, launching November 3. As a Faculty Scholar, you’ll collaborate with the CTL to advance professional growth across campus—e.g., designing workshops, leading learning communities, contributing to research, or other innovative work.
The Center for Teaching & Learning invites innovative educators to join the CTL Faculty Scholar Program, launching November 3. As a Faculty Scholar, you’ll collaborate with the CTL to advance professional growth across campus—e.g., designing workshops, leading learning communities, contributing to research, or other innovative work.
This year’s priority areas include applied learning, AI in teaching and learning, equitable and inclusive practices, effective online and hybrid teaching, assessment and reflective teaching, and building faculty learning communities.
Scholars receive financial support and the opportunity to shape the future of teaching at Cal Poly Humboldt.
Applications due November 17. Projects begin January 2026.

- Call for Applications: CTL Faculty Scholar ProgramThe Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) invites applications for the Faculty Scholar Program. This program offers faculty members an opportunity to collaborate with the CTL in advancing teaching excellence and innovation across the university. Faculty Scholars design and facilitate professional development initiatives—such as workshops, research projects, and learning communities—that promote equity, innovation, and evidence-informed teaching practices. For the upcoming cycle, priority areas include:
- Funding Opportunity: CSUBIOTECH - Presidents' Commission Research Scholars Program (Undergraduate Summer Research)CSUBIOTECH - Presidents' Commission Research Scholars Program (Undergraduate Summer Research) Deadline: Monday, February 9, 2026 by 5:00 pm; Faculty mentors are responsible for submitting the complete proposal and all applications will need to be routed through Sponsored Programs Foundation before they can be submitted. Award Amount: $8,000 – Students receive $6000 as a scholarship. $2000 of the award can support the faculty mentor’s research program.
- Funding Opportunity: Higher Learning Program - Mellon FoundationMellon Foundation - Higher Learning Program Registration Deadline: Monday, December 1, 2025 by 12pm Concept Deadline: Tuesday, February 17, 2026 by 12pm. Please note - Institutions are limited to submitting no more than three concepts by the application deadline. Finalists will be selected by Mellon Foundation, and invitations for full proposals will be issued during the summer of 2026. There is no limit to how many individuals per institution can register.

When: Wednesday, November 12th, 5:30-7:00 PM Where: Green & Gold Room, Founder's Hall 166 Career in Politics Night is a space for students to meet with local politicians, representatives from the elections office, local activists, and many more people who have found success in the field of politics!
