Monday Basketball Drop In/Intramurals
Forbes Gymnasium 250 - East Gym Monday, October 3, 2022, 7 – 10pm Drop Ins allow you to try out a new sport once or twice as you have time in your schedule and give you the opportunity to meet new people who have the same interests as you. Drop In activities run the first 4 weeks of the semester, and then the Intramural Program will start. Intramurals allow you to join a team and compete in an 8 week long season (5 weeks regular season, 3 week playoffs). Check out the Rec Sports website for more information about Drop Ins and Intramurals. Drop Ins and Intramurals are open to all Cal Poly Humboldt Students for free. All individuals over 12 years old who are accessing campus facilities are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster) or to have tested negative for COVID-19. All visitors to campus should be prepared to show proof of vaccination status or a negative test result from the last 72 hours to gain entry to campus facilities. - Scaling Our Energy FutureBehavioral & Social Sciences 166 - Lecture Room Thursday, May 8, 2025, 5:30 – 7pm The final speaker in this semester's Climate and Clean Energy Series is Carla Peterman, Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Chief Sustainability Officer for PG&E Corporation. At PG&E, she oversees the company’s regulatory, legislative, sustainability, and charitable strategies. Peterman has spent her career in several senior-level government and utility roles focused on California’s clean energy future. Peterman holds a PhD in energy and resources from the University of California, Berkeley, and MS and MBA degrees from Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar. Carla’s talk -- Scaling Our Energy Future: insights from the utility sector -- will focus on how PG&E, as one of the nation’s largest electric and gas utilities, plans to scale the energy system to meet growing load and decarbonization and resiliency goals, while ensuring energy remains affordable.
