Conceived by pianist Scott Bradlee in a Queens basement, the time-twisting musical collective gained online fame, leading to sold-out shows across North America and Europe in 2014. The ensemble reinterprets modern hits in classic styles like 1920s jazz, Swing, Doo-wop, and Motown, performed by a talented cast of singers, dancers, and instrumentalists. Known as the "Saturday Night Live of Singers," PMJ has introduced overlooked artists to the limelight, amassing two billion YouTube views and fostering an annual musical tradition cherished by fans worldwide. - OLLI Summer Open House 2024Off-campus D Street Neighborhood Center Saturday, June 8, 2024, 11am – 1pm The OLLI Open House is an opportunity to learn more about the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and to discover upcoming presentations, classes, events and special interest groups. At the Open House, you can meet and ask questions of OLLI instructors, staff and volunteers. The Open House is also a place to make connections with people who share the love of learning. You will also have the opportunity to join OLLI or renew your membership, register for classes, and much more. If you are able, bring a jar of peanut butter or other non-perishable food to donate to the campus student food cupboard. OLLI classes are designed for lifelong learners 50 and better, but are open to all learners over 18. Non-members pay an additional charge and are enrolled as space allows.
