Indigenous Peoples Week - Kick off

University Lower Quad Monday, October 14, 2024, 12 – 1:30pm ITEPP & ITEPP Club will host a Welcome to Indigenous Peoples week. History: The concept of "Indigenous Peoples' Day" emerged as a movement to replace Columbus Day, with the first official recognition happening in Berkeley, California in 1992, marking the 500th anniversary of Columbus' arrival in the Americas.  Here at Humboldt we have done Indigenous Peoples Week (IPW) to help educate and celebrate our existence. October 14th 12 - 1:30, Opening welcome will have an emcee from the ITEPP Club, Music (possibly the INRSEP drum group), opening prayer, and presenters from across campus.
