Enhancing the Process for Employee Performance Evaluations
To help ensure we stay aligned with compliance expectations and support our shared commitment to a well-informed and engaged workforce, we’re enhancing our follow-up process for employee evaluations. A recent audit highlighted the need to improve tracking and ensure timely completion of employee performance evaluations. In response, we’re introducing a clearer, more consistent approach to support managers in monitoring, tracking evaluation progress, and addressing overdue evaluations.
Timely, well-documented evaluations are not only a compliance requirement - they’re an essential part of effective leadership. They provide meaningful feedback, reinforce strong performance, and support fair, transparent decision-making when challenges arise.
To address this, beginning immediately:
On the first Monday of each month, you will receive a reminder email with a link to the Evaluation Management Tool that lists your completed and outstanding employee evaluations. At that time, you should review any evaluations that need to be completed.
On the 15th of each month, a report of overdue employee evaluations will be shared with each division’s Vice President detailing the total number of employees with overdue evaluations, along with MBU breakdowns of outstanding evaluations, with a copy sent to the appropriate administrator.
Every quarter (July, October, January, and April), a summary report will be sent to the President’s Office, detailing the total number of employees with overdue evaluations, including divisional breakdowns.
Your continued support in promoting compliance and accountability is essential. Please reach out to Anthony Baker Ortiz if you have any questions or need assistance accessing the Evaluation Management Tool (this report is found on the Managers Toolkit website).
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
